When the moon bleeds, something stirs within us. A whisper some try to resist. But heed this warning. Resistance will only fuel the Blood Moon’s hunger.
Dead by Daylight’s spectacularly sanguine event has returned, bringing the return of Blood Generators, Community Challenges to complete, and plenty of bloodcurdling cosmetics to unlock.
BLOOD WILL FLOW
Awash in a crimson glow, The Entity’s Realm shifts beneath the Blood Moon’s influence, offering a new way to find salvation. Enter Blood Generators, which replace 4 of 7 Generators.
Repair Blood Generators by filling a Blood Can with Blood, which can be collected at a Blood Pump. Note that only one Survivor can interact with a Blood Pump at a time, and they’ll replenish over the course of a Trial.
Once your Blood Can is full, be warned. Carrying it will emit a distinct noise, and running with one will cause its contents to spill, leaving Pools of Blood behind. If you find the transportation process to dangerous, you can drop your Blood Can. However, they will leak over time, and can be destroyed by any Killer who happens upon it.
BLOOD SEEKER
Over the course of the Event, Killers and Survivors must work together to complete in-game objectives and progress the communal objective track. During a Trial, fill or damage Blood Generators to contribute to the tracker.
Once enough objectives have been completed, a global Bloodpoint bonus multiplier will be unlocked, applying to all your scoring event earnings.
The bonus immediately increases the moment the next target is reached, up to a maximum of 55,000,000 BP until the end of the Event.
Note that this increase applies across every Trial, so don’t miss your chance to absolutely soak in sweet, sticky Bloodpoints.
UNLOCKABLE OUTFITS
Bloodpoints aren’t the only gift the Blood Moon offers. Complete Quests to unlock a complete Outfit for The Spirit and Orela Rose:
The Spirit – Sliced To Ribbons
The ribbons entwining her body were like a mass of veins, pumping the blood she no longer had.
Orela Rose – Giving Blood
She felt like she had been swept into a Cliff Barra film, where the costume designer had a twisted eye.
Unlock 3 Killer Weapons for The Dredge, The Plague, and The Nurse, and 3 Survivor Shirts for Jeff, Meg, and Gabriel, all of which can be unlocked by using Event Currency. This iteration of the Blood Moon also offers 2 Charms, 3 Banners, and 3 Badges, available by using Event Currency and completing select Quests.
BLOOD MOON COLLECTION
The Blood Moon Collection has gushed into the in-game store, featuring new Outfits for Sable Ward, The Blight, Jake Park, and The Deathslinger.
The Blight - Bad Transfusion
As Talbot injected the needle into himself, he noticed the serum was the color of the moon.
Sable Ward - Reflections In Red
Bathed in the Blood Moon’s scarlet glow, she barely recognized the face in her reflection.
Jake Park - Woodland Wanderer
Jake’s mind raced as the moonlight rushed him back to a life and death encounter he once experienced in the woods.
The Deathslinger - Frontier Nightmare
He had no qualms about spilling blood, even if it meant losing some of his own in the process.
