Rick & Michonne: Survival Personified
The Entity’s cyclic Trials trap Survivors in a world of perpetual torment, in which they’re forced to spend an eternity being pursued by bloodthirsty Killers. Many who were taken have never seen such violence first- hand. Yet Rick and Michonne have lived through countless horrors, experiencing the evil that man and monsters alike can do.
Their unique experience makes them well-suited to life in The Entity’s Realm. And though it’s far from an ideal circumstance, their intense leadership and unparalleled survival skills will be an asset for any team.
A New Sheriff in Town
While he may not be biting out a Killer’s jugular anytime soon, Rick’s willingness to do what’s necessary is second to none. There’s a reason he’s among Dead by Daylight’s most beloved – and most requested – characters in all of horror. Few manage to strike a balance between being intimidating, honorable, and vulnerable – not to mention his unparalleled ability to do stuff... and things.
Luckily, there is plenty of stuff and things to do in The Fog. Repair Generators, scavenge for supplies, elude Killers, rescue his fellow Survivors, and of course, make a Killer’s life unspeakably difficult. Light work for Sheriff’s Deputy Grimes.
Rick Grimes Perks
Rick brings 3 unique Perks to the table, which will open the door to explore a bold and teamwork-focused new playstyle.
Apocalyptic Ingenuity draws on Rick’s experience scrounging for supplies in a world torn asunder. Rummage through Chests to gain a unique Ability which allows you to construct a Fragile Pallet from the remnants of a Broken Pallet.
Come and Get Me! draws on Rick’s selfless courage, putting himself directly in harm’s way for the benefit of others. After Unhooking a Survivor, gain a unique Ability that can be triggered while crouched and idle.
Doing so will make any injured or dying teammates go completely silent, staunching all Pools of Blood. At the same time, you’ll let out a diversionary scream and briefly reveal your Aura to the Killer, giving them a new target to chase – not that they’ll ever catch you, right?
Teamwork: Toughen Up is most effectively used alongside a teammate, so keep that in mind while equipping this one in your loadout. When another nearby Survivor stuns or blinds the Killer while you’re injured, your Grunts of Pain, Scratch Marks, and Pools of Blood will be reduced.
Note that this Perk will synergize quite effectively with one of Michonne’s Perks – more on that below.
A Sword In The Fog
With a steady hand, unwavering conviction, and the steely determination of a true survivor, Michonne has been an indelible presence in The Walking Dead since her mysterious debut in Season 2. Since then, she has evolved into one of the series’ most iconic and fan-favorite characters, stylishly dispatching walkers and human threats alike without sacrificing her better angels.
Even without her signature Katana by her side, she remains a fierce protector that won’t hesitate to risk life and limb for the survival of her team.
Michonne Perks
Michonne brings 3 unique Perks to the table particularly useful in times of grave danger, buying additional time for your team to pull off an escape.
Conviction is aptly named, revolving around Michonne’s willingness to push herself to the brink and back. Heal a Survivor to gain a life-saving Ability, allowing you to instantly recover from the Downed State, provided you’ve built up a decent chunk of recovery time.
The catch is, you’ll become Broken and go back into the Dying State after a brief duration – but this crucial window is invaluable to get healed up and turn the tables back in your favour.
Last Stand comes into effect after spending time in the Killer’s Terror Radius; after all, Michonne was first introduced while travelling alongside a pair of pet Walkers. Once enough time has been allotted, your next fast vault will stun the Killer, granting you a crucial moment to escape. Note that after a successful use, this Perk will be disabled for the remainer of the Trial.
Teamwork: Throw Down shares a name with one of Rick’s Perks, synergizing quite effectively alongside it. When you Pallet stun or blind the Killer, injured Survivors in your vicinity gain Endurance, briefly glimpsing the Killer’s Aura at the time same.
Together, Rick and Michonne survived one brutal world, but The Entity’s Realm will test them like never before.
Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead is now available in the Player Test Build, with the full Chapter releasing on July 29th.
*Due to some known issues, Michonne will not be playable in the PTB, but her three unique Perks will still be available to test. Players will still be able to see her in the Lobby and in the Store, but will not be able to select her to play in a Trial. These issues will be resolved when the 9.1.0 update releases.
