Daryl Dixon Comes to Dead by Daylight in The Walking Dead Outfit Collection

·

The Walking Dead is one of the most popular television series globally of all time, boasting an ensemble cast of iconic characters and equally iconic outfits they wore.

Now that Rick Grimes and Michonne have joined the Dead by Daylight roster, it’s only fitting that we’d release an accompanying Collection – which just so happens to include a Daryl Dixon Legendary Outfit.

What is a Legendary Outfit?

If you’re new to The Fog, a Legendary Outfit is a unique rarity that, in many cases, adds a brand-new character into the game. Using a Legendary Outfit requires purchase of a pre-existing character. It can then be equipped through that character’s Outfit menu. As a result, characters that appear as Legendary Outfits do not have unique Perks.

Daryl Dixon by Daylight

“If Daryl dies, we riot.” Since his debut in The Walking Dead’s first season, Daryl Dixon has captured the hearts and imaginations of fans around globe, making the rugged survivalist synonymous with the series. So it was all but inevitable that Daryl would show up in The Fog.

Arriving as a Legendary Outfit for Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon is a totally new character minus the unique Perks. Designed after Norman Reedus’ likeness and featuring original voice lines from Reedus himself, this Outfit will allow you to don the wing-backed vest and channel your innermost bike-riding outdoorsman. Theres only one catch: the Entity’s Realm is a crossbow-free zone.

Rick Grimes, Fashion Maven

Anyone who calls themselves a fan of The Walking Dead should recognize Bomber Jacket Rick. It’s arguably his most iconic era, emblematic of his darkest and most brutal potential; case in point, he was wearing this jacket when he claimed the jugular of Joe, a turning point for Rick, and one from which he almost never recovered.

It may not keep you from the Hook, but donning this will definitely net you some intimidation points.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Rick’s Hospital Gown finds him at his most vulnerable. It’s what he was wearing in the Pilot episode, “Days Gone Bye,” after awakening from a coma to discover the harrowing new world before him. While it’s hardly ideal attire for a high-stakes pursuit, it does represent a classic moment in The Walking Dead history.

Michonne’s Cutting-Edge Style

After The Governor besieged the group’s prison shelter, Michonne found herself travelling with Rick and Carl Grimes; it was during this pivotal time that she began opening up to them, forging the bond that would ultimately lead to her deep connection with Rick.

The white-shirt and black vest combo would go on to become a fixture in Michonne’s post-apocalyptic wardrobe, providing unimpeded movement to swing her katana.

When we first met Michonne with her Walker Pets in tow, a hooded cloak cast her face in shadow. Years later, Michonne would revisit this look, especially when undertaking dangerous voyages into the wilderness. It’s rugged, it’s intimidating, and it reinforces how formidable Michonne truly is – even without her sword.

We hope you're as excited for this Collection as we are, and we’ll leave you with a small teaser: There may be even more The Walking Dead Outfits coming. For more on that, however, you’ll have to stay tuned.

Provided the Walkers don’t get you.

See you in The Fog,

The Dead by Daylight Team
