Chapter 27: Tools of Torment introduced The Skull Merchant, Thalita Lyra, and Renato Lyra into the world of Dead by Daylight. With it comes to the Chapter 27 Collection, featuring three new Outfits drawn from key moments in each character’s backstory.
The Skull Merchant’s futuristic ensemble debuted in her father’s nightmarish manga, Sonhadores Sombrios, where she inspired from the design of the lead character. The Lyra siblings receive attire from a more positive memory, where they spent a day kitesurfing at the nearby beach.

She found herself drawn to her father’s manga, intrigued by the violent and disturbing imagery. The main character, The Skull Merchant, dispatched the weak with cruelty. A true apex hunter.
Thalita Lyra – Sibling's Connection – Very Rare
When Thalita decided to teach her brother kitesurfing, she braced herself for defiance. Yet he listened intently to her guidance, no doubt eager for a new means of healthy competition.
Renato Lyra – Sibling's Trust – Very Rare
The prospect of learning to kitesurf was intimidating, but his sister was an experienced teacher. He knew she’d never steer him wrong – though she certainly wouldn’t go easy on him either.
“This Collection is the companion of the Tools of Torment Chapter, and we wanted to explore these characters and their personalities a bit more,” explains Rose Li, Product Manager Live Ops. “For The Skull Merchant, we focused on her tools and creativity. For the siblings, we examined their bond and Brazilian roots.”

The Techwear Collection is here, featuring new Outfits for Mikaela Reid, Meg Thomas, Yun-Jin Lee, Vittorio Toscano, and The Legion.
The Tools of Torment Chapter marks an important milestone in Dead by Daylight: the arrival of modern-day technology in The Entity’s Realm. Through her desire to become the ultimate apex hunter, The Skull Merchant created a series of deadly Drones to track and surveil Survivors.

When she broke into a home, she typically wanted to go unseen. This time, however, she wanted to give the owners a scare they wouldn’t forget.

Considering she was premiering a horror story with sci-fi elements, it felt appropriate to get in character.
Meg Thomas – Urban Athlete – Very Rare
Though not exactly traditional running attire, she appreciated how the blue neon looked in motion.
Yun-Jin Lee – Racing Beat – Very Rare
With the racing festival on the horizon, Yun-Jin knew that eyes would be upon her. Such appearances required a careful blend of practical minimalism and sleek style.
Vittorio Toscano – Pathfinder – Very Rare
He wasn’t sure he understood these strange, futuristic designs – but damned if he wasn’t intrigued.
“This Collection was inspired by the tech wear trend, which fits perfectly into the DbD’s survival gameplay,” explains Rose Li, Product Manager Live Ops. “You must have practical skills and garments to hide in the Fog, and practicality is especially key in tech wear. We enjoyed taking it a step further to create Outfits with a darker edge, which fits Dead by Daylight’s themes and atmosphere. Unfortunately, they're not Killer proof though!”
