The Killer is The Krasue, forever cursed by insatiable hunger. By day, she appears as a normal woman. By night, the Krause emerges from its host’s body as a disembodied head with entrails dangling from its gaping neck. A terrifying creature well suited for The Fog, The Krasue’s blood-drenched tale is one of ambition gone awry.
How Did Burong Sukapat Become The Krasue?
Listen, if you will, and hear the faint traces of a song...
Her name was Burong Sukapat. Beautiful and kind, she was driven by her pursuit of greatness. One evening, she received an ominous offer. If accepted, she would finally find success on the stage. In exchange, another would inhabit her body during the night...
Blinded by desire, Burong agreed. As the weeks went by, directors began to notice her, watching her perform with rapt attention. She sang with an otherworldly sense of skill and gravitas. Everything she ever wanted was within her grasp. Yet dread gnawed in the back of her mind, a reminder that every bargain has a cost.
One night, Burong awoke, her nightwear sopping with blood. She gagged, choking as red spilled from her lips. Disoriented and terrified, she realized that she was alone in a sprawling farm field. Beside her was a severed pig’s head, its dead eyes gaping.
And so began the Krasue’s curse, plunging Burong into a nightmare of torn flesh, sopping blood, and visceral body horror.
Head Voice: Hunting as The Krasue
When darkness fell, The Krasue awakened…
Rage boiled in her blood as the songstress tore into her flesh,
until finally, she was free...
Her severed head rose into the air,
entrails dangling from her gaping neck,
glowing with hunger...
The Krasue’s disturbing transformation offers players the choice to pursue their prey with two distinct and deadly forms. Violently spring from your body and hunt as a floating head, using a vile Intestinal Whip to strike with a vicious attack. Your speed is increased during this form, allowing you to traverse the Map and slaughter your prey with deadly efficacy.
You can also choose to hunt on foot, regurgitating a projectile at Survivors and infecting them with the Leeching Gland. Infected Survivors are far more vulnerable to Intestinal whip attacks, leaving you in a prime position to switch forms and inflict true misery upon them.
The Krasue’s Perks
Complementing the Power are 3 unique character Perks: Hex: Overture of Doom, Ravenous, and Wandering Eye.
Hex: Overture of Doom centres around deception and trickery, placing a curse on the farthest Generator. Whenever a Survivor happens to repair that Generator, your Terror Radius will transfer to it, sending them into a panic. If that wasn’t disorienting enough, you’ll also be Undetectable, allowing you strike with the element of surprise.
Ravenous is all about spreading pressure, rewarding you for Hooking each Survivor at least once. Once that goal is met, each Survivor will scream and be rendered Exposed for a duration, allowing you a window to inflict some serious damage.
Wandering Eye is a valuable information tool, allowing you to plan your next move with more certainty. While Chasing a Survivor, you will see the Aura of all nearby Survivors. It’s not uncommon to strategically drop a chase and knowing whether there’s a more vulnerable option will go a long way in optimizing your sacrificing spree.
Hooked On Drums
The Krasue is not the only artist arriving in Sinister Grace. Axekick drummer Vee Boonyasak has officially hit the stage. Her infectious attitude, breakneck pace, and kinetic energy bring a new dynamic to every Trial, and Killers will get whiplash trying to keep tempo with this rock-and-roll soul.
Since joining Axekick, Vee injected the band with a blistering new life, bringing intensity and a willingness to bleed for her art. Never in her wildest dreams did she envision embarking on a tour quite like this – and all because her band decided to perform at an abandoned opera theater.
Little did they know that Burong Sukapat used to take the very same stage, hours before the Krasue would emerge to hunt. It’s no wonder that The Fog came creeping, enshrouding Vee during her climactic drum solo. Lost in the music, she didn’t even notice the crowd beginning to fade into the darkness...
Alas, the show must go on. Luckily, Vee’s experience roughing it on the road and musical talent have made her well suited for the struggles of The Entity's Realms. The lack of a proper drum kit may be one hell of a bummer, but on the bright side, at least there are a few musicians around the campfire.
Vee Boonyasak’s Perks
Ghost Notes is a testament to those long drives in the trusty band van, which honed Vee’s stamina and overall endurance. Not only will she recover from Exhaustion faster, but her Scratch Marks will disappear quicker too.
If you hear Vee yell out ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR! you can bet that something magic is about to happen. Kick off a performance that will invigorate your teammates, empowering them with a slew of Skill Checks.
Road Life takes a toll, but damned if it’s not rewarding. Complete Repair Great Skill Checks while injured to earn Tokens, which can be spent to heal a Health State.
