Pride Month Update
June is right around the corner and the team here at Dead by Daylight couldn’t be more excited to once again be supporting and celebrating Pride month both in and out of the game.
Diversity is something that means a lot to us here at Dead by Daylight. Both in terms of our team, and our incredibly supportive fans who identify as members of the LGBTQIA2+ community. This time of year is a chance for us to double down on celebrating our differences, the things that make us all unique, and to send the same dedication, support and love you’ve shown us right back your way.
That’s why we’re excited to provide a few updates on where we are in terms of content and share the exciting stuff we have in the works for Pride month and beyond.
Content and Characters
Bringing inclusivity and representation to life in a meaningful way within Dead by Daylight’s storytelling continues to be a focus for us – and one that’s progressing. While we know many of you are eagerly anticipating this content (as are we!) it’s vital to us that we not only deliver it – but more importantly, do it justice.
Our goal is to take the necessary time to ensure we get this right, creating the kinds of stories and characters devoid of negative tropes that our community deserves, versus simply checking a box. To help us achieve this, we’re proud to announce our collaboration with external partners Brian Kunde and Katie Kaitchuck at GaymerX who are supporting us with best practices for integrating LGBTQIA2+ themes into established games. This will continue with specific consultations around in-game content and how we can approach these stories without falling into harmful representation.
We’re looking forward to the end result, and we thank our players for their patience as the pieces continue to come together. In the meantime, we’ve got some great things on deck for the month of June that we hope you’ll join us for!
Read on to make sure you don’t miss out – and if you’d like to learn more about our consultants or GaymerX, just follow the links below.

Rainbow Flag Charm
Wear your pride in Dead by Daylight! Players will be able to show off this free Rainbow charm in-game which can be worn by any Survivor or displayed on a hook by any Killer.
Many of you, Allies included, shared that it was important for you to show your support for the LGBTQIA2+ community, and this charm is a great way to join us in standing up for inclusion.
#IntoTheRainbow Influencer Livestream
Embracing the inclusivity of Pride, we’ll be launching a new livestream event in celebration of our queer community. A diverse cast will be featured as 2 hosts and 2 teams of 5 duke it out in Dead by Daylight. Expect good times, great drag, and some amazing pride stories from our players and devs about the connection between DbD and their queer identities.

#IntoTheRainbow Charity Fundraiser in Support of the Trevor Project
Good times for a good cause! Join us during the #IntoTheRainbow live stream and make a difference in the community!
For the duration of the stream, we’ll be running a live community fundraiser with all proceeds generated being donated to the Trevor Project. The Trevor Project has been doing incredible work focused on suicide prevention within the LGBTQIA2+ community at a national level for over 20 years and we’re honored at the opportunity to partner with them on this event.
Watch the stream, enjoy the show, and donate to a very worthy cause. Hosts will be on hand with details on how to donate and updates throughout the stream.

Project10 Donation
Naturally, it's also very important for us to support our local community. That's why, in addition to our fundraiser for the Trevor Project, Behaviour Interactive will also be making a donation to Project10, a Quebec based organization focused on providing support and services to LGBTQIA2S+ youth.
Dead by Daylight Mobile Bloodhunt+
From June 14 – 20, Dead by Daylight Mobile will hold an all-character Bloodhunt+. Players will get 2x the Bloodpoints and 2x the Character XP for any character they play when joining us to celebrate Pride.
Pride Emotes
Our Pride Emotes are back! This year we’ll be providing an even more diverse set of emotes to help you celebrate Pride on Discord and Twitch. Use them, love them, share them, and join us in celebrating diversity, because our differences are what let us stand apart as unique and beautiful.
Pride Blog & Artwork
Dead by Daylight will be posting an article featuring interviews with 2 Fog Whisperers, 1 Community Member, and 1 Behaviour employee asking the question: What drew you to DbD as a queer person?
The blog will also feature artwork commissioned from community member @Hunnybe4r encompassing themes of Pride within the Dead by Daylight universe.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you in June! Follow Dead by Daylight on socials for all updates and details.
See you in the Rainbow!
