Dead by Daylight’s Haunted By Daylight Event is where terror runs rampant and fear flows freely. There’s no better place to spend spooky season, and this year’s macabre festivities are bound to keep you up in the darkest hours of the night.
Gather round the campfire. It’s time to stuff your sack with Bloodpoint Gummies, put on your favorite costume, and step into The Fog for an unforgettable Halloween celebration.

The Void Realm Beckons
Once again, the Void Realm has bled into The Fog, inflicting its nightmarish presence upon Killer and Survivor alike. Filled with the discarded husks of those drained of their emotions, the Void Realm is a bleak reminder of the haunting fate awaiting all trapped within The Entity’s cycle.

Though it’s a dark and dismal place, its draw is undeniable. Entrances into The Void Realm can be accessed, and those bold (or foolish) enough to enter can craft Powerful items.
How To Enter the Void Realm
At the onset of a Trial, a portal to the Void Realm will open to all players. In addition, several Void Rifts will also spawn throughout the Map, which can be opened with Void Energy.
Completing various tasks will net you Void Energy, including:
- Collecting Void Orbs
- Destroying Pumpkins
- Repairing Generators
- Stunning and Blinding the Killer
- Downing a Survivor
- Hooking a Survivor
While in the Void Realm, Killers will lose their Terror Radius, so be sure to keep your head on a swivel. If that wasn’t dangerous enough, Survivors must also contend with Haunts, mysterious spectral figures that won’t hesitate to lunge for the living, rendering the unfortunate Hindered in the process.
Void Items Await
Use the Void Energy you’ve collected to create powerful Items and Abilities, which could very well turn the tides of a Trial in your favor. To craft a Void Item, enter The Void Realm and approach the Void Well to get crafting.
Void Crystal (Survivor Item) A Void Crystal is a unique Survivor Item with two separate functions, each serving a different purpose. The first is a Smoke Bomb, which hinders the Killer’s visibility and allows you to lose them more effectively.
Survivor Item - Smoke Bomb The second is a new ability – Remote Generator Repair -- allowing a Survivor to remotely Repair a Generator for a duration. To use it, you’ll have to place the Crystal on top of a Generator, provided it isn’t being actively Repaired. To stop the effect, Killers can destroy the Void Crystal, regressing the Generator in the process.
Captured Haunt (Killer Item) Deposit Void Energy into a Void Well to receive 3 Captured Haunts, an projectile attack that fires in a straight line and injures Survivors. Beyond that, Captured Haunts provide a passive bonus to your Break Action Speed, ensuring they remain useful even when you aren’t using them offensively. Note that breaking a Pallet will consume a charge of your Captured Haunt.
Finally, Void Pumpkins will be returning. Found scattered throughout the Map, be sure to introduce them to your boot when you have a moment. You may very well receive a treat.... or a trick.
Event Quests + Halloween Rewards
It wouldn’t be Halloween without costumes, and this year’s Haunted By Daylight offers several unlockable Cosmetics. Complete exclusive Quests to earn a devilishly debonair ensemble for Felix Richter and a stylishly villainous fit for The Skull Merchant.

Beyond the Quest-associated Outfits, there are plenty of additional Cosmetics to unlock by participating in the Event and amassing an Event-specific currency called Dark Trinkets. Dark Trinkets can be used to purchase a variety of rewards, including 3 new Skeleton Shirts for Dwight Fairfield, Vee Boonyasak, and Zarina Kassir.
Haunted by Daylight brings Skeleton Shirts for Dwight, Vee, and Zarina.
Unleash a confectionary of carnage upon Survivors with 3 Candy Weapons, including The Krasue’s Sticky Larb Blade, The Oni’s Candied Centipede, and The Trickster’s Razor-Sharp Caramel.

Daily Rewards
Halloween night is all about indulgence, so why not lean into that? For the duration of Haunted by Daylight (October 14th to November 4th), simply log in to receive a daily reward – including Bloodpoints, Iridescent Shards, and Dark Trinkets. Those who log in every day will find themselves taking home a total of 100 Dark Trinkets, 1 000,000 Bloodpoints, and 1000 Iridescent Shards.
