Dead by Daylight’s Bone Chill 2025 Returns | Everything To Know

·

Great Balls Of Snow

Would the world be a better place if Killers and Survivors took out their mutual frustrations by putting down the weapons and flashlights, and flinging skull-shaped balls of snow at each other instead?

To help make that dream a reality, each Map will include several piles of throwable Snowskulls. Be sure to load up, to a maximum of 12, and fling like you’ve never flung before. Ten points if you knock The Trapper’s mask off. Just kidding, you can’t do that.... but that’s what imagination is for.

To really kick your snowbrawls up a notch, we’ve added the ability to actively aim and charge your throws. A fully charged Snowskull can temporarily freeze a Pallet or cover a Generator in snow, giving them a practical use beyond the typical mischievous antics you know and love.

Note that frozen Pallets will eventually melt, and any snow-covered Generator can be cleared off. On the other hand, time is of the essence and even a slight inconvenience can spell the difference between life and death.

Snowmen Return

For years, children and adults alike have relished in the joyful act of building a snowman. Though we know in our hearts that they will inevitably suffer an agonizing death come springtime, who can resist those adorable button eyes and spindly stick limbs reaching out for one more hug?

It’s only fitting that The Entity’s icy hellscape would feature a nightmarish take on our favourite winter pals. Naturally, their appearances are a far cry from the average frosty type, rather opting for a grotesque “it hurts to exist” type of aesthetic.

Fear not, however. They do not mean you any harm. For the most part, they’re happy to let you step inside their bodies for....warmth? In any case, they’ll provide shelter in a pinch, though we can’t promise the Killer won’t start swinging on every Snowman on sight. Before that happens, you can move around while inside a Snowman, but do so at your peril. Nothing says “hit me” like a moving pile of anthropomorphic snow. On the plus side, you can and should high-five your fellow Snowmen at every opportunity.

That’s not to say Killers aren’t welcome to hop into a Snowman and spring a trap. We highly recommend it. Survivors simply can’t help themselves – they simply must approach the snowman.

Last but not least, players will be able to craft their own portable Snowmen at Snowpiles, allowing you to slam one down and hide in a moment of desperation. That snowman standing two feet away from a Generator isn’t suspicious at all! Carry on, nothing to see here.

Once the coast is clear, you can either unfold it for another use or leave a terrifying Mimic in its place. What does a Mimic do? Approach one and find out...
