Dead by Daylight’s Blood Moon Event 2025 | Everything To Know

·

Dead by Daylight’s Blood Moon Event is back, as gruesomely splendorous as ever. From April 7th 11AM ET – April 29th 11 AM ET, dip your toes in the calming red waters and don’t lose your nerve. After all, these Cosmetics aren’t going to unlock themselves...

What is Dead by Daylight's Blood Moon Event?

The Blood Moon Event is an annual affair inspired by the sanguine elegance of life’s universal elixir. Which is to say, blood. Lots of blood. And more importantly, Bloodpoints.

It is an undisputed fact that the Blood Moon Event is the best time to earn and spend Bloodpoints, allowing for faster progression and a quicker path to Prestige.

Following last year’s Blood Moon, we received feedback that the unique Event gameplay felt too detached from the primary gameplay objective. We wanted to create an experience that remained true to Dead by Daylight, while still honouring the unique theming of the Blood Moon.

A New Type Of Generator

This year’s iteration of the Blood Moon features a brand-new gameplay element: Blood Generators, which will replace 4 out of 7 Generators in a Trial. For the first time, Survivors will have an entirely new type of Generator to fuel , requiring them to use a Blood Can and collect Blood at a Blood Pump.

Blood Pumps will contain Blood and slowly refill over time. Survivors can interact with a Blood Pump to receive a Blood Can, which can be used to collect Blood. Blood can then be used to fuel a Blood Generator.

A word of warning – Blood Cans will leave a leaky trail, produce sound, and reduce charges whenever you run, so consider adopting a stealthier playstyle while transporting a Blood Can. Note that this does not change the Survivor’s objective – they still must repair 5 Generators to escape, with any number of Blood Generators and regular Generators counting toward the total.

As Blood Cans hold a finite volume, Survivors will be forced to move around the map to refuel, adding a layer of danger to the process. On the Killer side, you’ll be able to track the amount of Blood remaining in a pump, giving you a general idea of where a Survivor might be – and more importantly, if they’re likely to return.

As Blood Generators are an entirely new addition, please note that Killer Powers, Add-Ons, Perks, and Items do not interact with them. We made this decision to keep design space open, allowing us to experiment with new ways to interact with Blood Generators in the future. It’s also an opportunity to explore new loadouts and playstyles, so dust off some of those Perks you’ve been sleeping on and get cooking.

Blood Moon Items

For the duration of the Blood Moon, a unique Item and Offering will return to the Bloodweb: Bloodsense Map and Bloodshot Eyes.

Bloodsense Maps automatically track 3 objectives – including Generators, Killer belongings, Exit Gates, the Hatch, and the Aura injured Survivors. However, using the Bloodsense Map will leave a trail of Blood.

Bloodshot Eyes are an exclusive Offering that grants 100% more Bloodpoints for every interaction tied to the Blood Moon Event.

Lunar Influence

The Blood Moon’s influence spreads beyond the realm, with its pervading presence bleeding into the lobby you know and love. Gaze upon the Event-exclusive screen and bathe in its eerie splendour, which will only intensify over time.

Community Collective Tracker

This year’s Blood Moon Event will once again feature a Collective Track called the Blood Seeker, which the entire community can progress together. Survivors progress the Track by repairing Blood Generators, while Killers progress the Track by damaging Blood Generators.

As the Track progresses, players will hit up to five thresholds, with each one granting a global Bloodpoint multiplier. Progress will also be reflected in the evolving lobby screen, plunging you deeper into the sanguine nightmare.

Once the fifth threshold is reached, and the Blood Moon’s influence reaches its apex, players will receive a staggering 500% multiplier. Did we mention this was a great time to earn Bloodpoints?

Unlockable Outfits & More

Beyond the sheer volume of Bloodpoints, participating in the Blood Moon Event will earn you Event Currency , which can in turn be used to unlock several cosmetic rewards – including two badass Outfits for The Trapper and Vittorio Toscano.
