On June 13th Dead by Daylight’s Twisted Masquerade Event will make its lavish return in celebration of our 8th Anniversary. It’s set to be bigger than ever with new Event-themed Cosmetics, gameplay features, décor, and even appearances by the mysterious host, Tryks.
With an Event like this not far off, the anticipation must be killing you. But fear not, getting ready for a big party is half the fun.
To tide you over until the festivities commence, we’re bringing back a smaller celebration that pays tribute Dead by Daylight’s past and offers plenty of rewards as a way to say thank you.
Before the Masquerade starts now and ends June 13th. Here’s everything you need to know:
Getting in the Spirit
Before the Masquerade is divided into four weeks. The first three weeks will focus on a different era of Dead by Daylight’s history, offering an increased rotation of selected Maps, a 3x boost mini-Event, and Store sales on popular Outfits from that era.
Of course, there are also plenty of rewards to go around. Before the Masquerade features a daily login calendar, netting you Bloodpoints or Rift Fragments every day. Logging in at least once each week will even get you a piece of 2 full Outfits for The Huntress and Meg Thomas, which can be completed before the Twisted Masquerade begins. Nothing’s worse than having an incomplete set, so make sure you don’t miss it.
During the fourth week, all players will get XP and Bloodpoint boosts, and a chance at some older Anniversary Charms.
Here’s a weekly breakdown of the spoils:
Week 1
The first week features boosted Maps from the first 3 years of Dead by Daylight, a Blood Feast— meaning 3x the number of Bloodpoints per match, daily login rewards, and Store sales. Logging in this week will also get you the Slouchy Blouse and Winter’s Respite Outfit pieces for Meg Thomas and The Huntress.
Week 2
The second week will feature boosted Maps from years 4, 5, and 6 of Dead by Daylight, a Fragment Feast —meaning 3x the number of Rift Fragments per match, daily login rewards, and new Store sales. Logging in this week will get you the Flowing Flowers and Savage Battle Axe Outfit pieces for Meg Thomas and The Huntress.
Week 3
The third week of Before the Masquerade will feature boosted Maps from years 7 and 8 of Dead by Daylight, a 3x XP boost, daily login rewards, and again, new Store sales. Logging in this week will also get you the Platinum Braids and Wretched Bear Skull Outfit pieces for Meg Thomas and The Huntress to finish off the Outfits.
Week 4-Dungeons & Dragons Release
June 3rd wil l see the release of our brand-new Dungeons & Dragons Chapter—giving us yet another reason to celebrate.
From June 3rd to June 13th, we’ll be giving all players double XP and Bloodpoints, as well as giveaways on some of the older Anniversary Charms.
After that, on June 13th at 11am, the Twisted Masquerade will begin. Your attendance is expected. You wouldn't want to disappoint the host, would you?
