We’ve got plenty of amazing Outfits lined up, including several brand-new looks from the world of Alan Wake. As anyone who played the amazing Alan Wake 2 knows, Saga Anderson plays a crucial role in the story. And where would the writer be without his number-one fan, Rose Marigold? It’s only fitting to bring them both into The Fog as Legendary Outfits for Alan Wake.

Roadmap Report
Not only are we covering the now, but we’re also giving you a sneak peek of everything we’ve been working on. It goes without saying that Roadmaps are subject to change, but this is everything we’re currently cooking in the pipeline.
NOW
Releasing with Dead by Daylight: Alan Wake are several highly requested quality of life and gameplay updates. Starting things off is the FOV Slider, a feature that will allow Killer players to widen their field of view.
We're also introducing a new system to deal with oppressive 3-Gen situations, which can significantly increase the length of a Trial to a frustrating degree.
That’s not to say there isn’t value in the strategy, which can be viable in certain situations. On the other hand, given the scope of Perks and Powers entering Dead by Daylight, it was important to grant additional design space without having to consistently build around the potential for a 3-gen. With this new Generator System in place, we’ll be buffing the regression caused by kicking a Generator to 5% instant regression (up from 2.5%).
We’re also updating several Perks, with some undergoing changes since PTB testing:
- Save The Best For Last
- Grim Embrace
- Quick Gambit
- Shadowborn
- Monitor & Abuse
A quick note about Save The Best For Last: In the PTB, we tested a version where the Killer lost stacks when the Obsession lost a Health State by any means. This has been changed so that stacks are only decreased when the Obsession is hit by a Basic or Power Attack, to prevent instances where Stacks could be lost by grabbing a Vaulting Survivor or through the Plot Twist Perk.
In the case of the Shadowborn and Monitor & Abuse, to compensate for the addition of the FOV slider.
We're also thrilled to see the response to The Hillbilly rework, which officially goes live with this Chapter. After hearing your feedback, we’ve made some adjustments to the audio levels of his chainsaw, which should hopefully help address some of the volume concerns.

MARCH – APRIL
Important Note: Everything seen on this roadmap is subject to change. That said, these are our targets.
During the months of March and April, we’re working on releasing a change to the Mangled Status Effect. If you don’t know, the Mangled Status Effect causes reduced Healing Speed, which can compound with various Perks for an oppressive overall effect.
Not unlike the 3-Gen strategy, we recognize that reducing Healing speed can be a viable Killer strategy, especially against a coordinated team. On the other hand, a mechanic that ultimately limits future design is never ideal, especially when so many new elements regularly enter the game.
For instance, it might be difficult to design mechanics centred around healing or create an interesting Perk that reduces healing speed if stacking Mangled effects becomes the most optimal strategy.
On that note, we’re also looking to address the Sloppy Butcher Perk, as it will be impacted by the greater Mangled changes. Look for more details on that closer to its release.
We’ve also got a few quality-of-life Tweaks lined up for several Killers, including The Hag, The Pig, The Huntress, The Demogorgon, The Demogorgon, The Clown, and The Doctor. Save those “Nerf Pig” jokes for another day.
APRIL – JUNE
Important Note: Everything seen on this roadmap is subject to change. That said, these are our targets.
Between April and June, we’ve got more updates in the pipeline. This includes improvements to the Bloodweb, which we can’t share quite yet. Rest assured that we’ve heard your feedback regarding the Bloodweb, and we look forward to making it a more enjoyable and immersive experience. Stay tuned (tm).
We’ve also got a few more Perk updates set to drop, and while we can’t reveal many details now, we’re closely monitoring the feedback surrounding Ultimate Weapon, Adrenaline, and Decisive Strike.
Lastly, we’re coming through with a rework to The Twins, something we originally teased way back when. Well, patience is a virtue as they say, and we’re hoping to see a new and improved version of everybody’s favourite grotesque siblings come summertime. Get your Victor-kickin' shoes ready.
We know this was a long one, so if you’re still with us – thank you. Sincerely. Dead by Daylight wouldn’t be what it is without you, and we hope you’re excited for another year with us in The Fog. In the meantime, check out Dead by Daylight: Alan Wake, now available.
