The Fog taketh, but The Fog also giveth back.
Championing meaningful causes has always been important to Dead by Daylight and our community, and this fall, we’re continuing that commitment with two new charity initiatives. The first will support the First Nations-led IM4 Media Lab, while the second will benefit Montreal’s The Douglas Foundation.
IM4 Media Lab x Shane Wiigwaas
When Shane entered The Fog earlier this summer as Dead by Daylight’s first-ever Indigenous character, he quickly became a fan favorite. A force for good within The Entity’s Realm, Shane will soon be helping make a difference outside of it, too, as a part of a new charity initiative supporting IM4 Media Lab.
IM4 Media Lab is a First Nations-led nonprofit that trains Indigenous creators in immersive and emerging media, with the goal of helping build a critical mass of Indigenous people working in creative technology.
‘’This dedicated campaign will support cross-disciplinary workshops designed to train and empower Indigenous game developers to create innovative, authentic Indigenous gaming experiences,” shares the IM4 Media Lab team. “We're excited that the gaming industry is keen to collaborate with the Indigenous community to support our stories and celebrate our vision. We’re grateful to Behaviour for their commitment to Indigenous game developers.‘’
From September 22nd to 30th, players can purchase Shane’s dapper Case Study Outfit from the Autumn Fashion Collection, with all proceeds from sales of the Cosmetic going to IM4 Media Lab.

You can also contribute simply by jumping into a Trial.
From September 25th to 27th, Survivors playing as Shane can help work towards a community donation multiplier by successfully completing Generator repairs during matches. If the community hits the goal, a 1.5x multiplier will be applied to Dead by Daylight’s total donation to IM4 Media Lab, so crack those knuckles and get ready to harness your inner handyman.
The Douglas Foundation x Charity Chest

Dead by Daylight’s Charity Chest is an ongoing initiative that will support Montreal’s The Douglas Foundation and its work to improve the lives of those affected by mental illness through innovative research and direct patient care.
Beginning on October 6th, a dedicated Collection featuring 10 in-game Cosmetic Items for Claudette Morel, David King, Dwight Fairfield, Jake Park, Nea Karlsson, The Oni, The Huntress, The Plague, The Legion, and The Nurse will be available for purchase, with proceeds from those sales going to The Douglas Foundation. With the help of our community, we hope to provide lasting support for an important organization.

"Reducing stigma around mental illness starts with open dialogue — and there are few audiences positioned to spark a conversation at this scale,” says Laura Fish, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Douglas Foundation. “We're honored to partner with Behaviour Interactive, Montreal's flagship video game studio, and the Dead by Daylight community in support of the Douglas Foundation, and we are excited for the impact this partnership will have on brain research and mental health innovation for years to come."
Time and again, we’re reminded of what the Dead by Daylight community can accomplish when we come together. From everyone on the team, thank you for continuing to show that even in The Fog, there’s always room to do some good.
