One is emblematic of the horrors of the night; a master of beasts, a breaker of spirits, a devourer of blood. The other is a deliverer of twisted justice; his colossal blades swings without mercy, cleaving through limb and bone and organ. Together they unite, using their malevolent gifts to turn Survivors into sacrifices.
With their respective Powers adjusted to accommodate for the 2v8 experience, players will quickly find The Executioner and The Dark Lord are among the deadliest Killers The Fog has to offer. One moment you’re being pursued by a ravenous wolf, the next you’re trapped inside a cage, rusted metal tearing your skin like paper.
That’s exactly the sort of nightmarish fun you can expect when gothic horror and psychological horror come together, leading to a thematically rich iteration of 2v8 thus far.
Free Character Trials
With such a massive roster of playable characters, finding your main in Dead by Daylight can be tricky to say the least. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. For the duration of 2v8, you’ll have access to four free characters: The Dark Lord, The Executioner, Cheryl Mason, and Trevor Belmont.
Killers
Behold The Dark Lord, who unleashes the terror of the night with his versatile shapeshifting ability. Alternate between three forms – Vampire, Wolf, and Bat – each offering a unique approach to the hunt. Before long, the weak will be bowing before you, pleading for mercy. Pity. Between his intimidating presence and disturbing appearance, the mere sight of The Executioner is enough to send the strongest-willed Survivor into a panic. With a formidable blade and the ability to directly Kill the unworthy, Pyramid Head is a well-rounded pick for anyone who loves doling out punishment.
Survivors
Not many can stand against Dracula, but Trevor Belmont has faced The Dark Lord and survived to tell the tale. If stepping into the well-worn leather boots of the ultimate gothic badass tickles your fancy, this may be the character for you.
Cheryl Mason has long walked in the shadow of evil, growing accustomed to its presence. Her experience within the town of Silent Hill has made her uniquely suited for The Fog, making her one of the few Survivors to come face-to-face with genuine supernatural horror.

As legendary game franchises from KONAMI, Castlevania and SILENT HILL have graced us with plenty of classic looks throughout the years. Arriving alongside this Game Mode are brand new Outfits for Cheryl Mason, The Executioner, Trevor Belmont (a Legendary Richter Belmont Outfit), and The Dark Lord.
The return of 2v8 brings new Game Mode-specific Quests to undertake and rewards to unlock. Complete them over the course of 2v8’s runtime to unlock exclusive rewards, including a Badge, Banner, and Charm inspired by Castlevania and SILENT HILL.
