Dead by Daylight’s 2v8, Attack On Titan Edition: Everything To Know

·

Like those pesky Titans, Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 keeps on coming. Back for another round, this fan-favorite Game Mode arrives alongside the expansion of the Attack On Titan Collection, which features Outfits inspired by characters from the acclaimed anime series.

While this iteration of 2v8 will not include any new Killers, one of the essential characters will be getting a new Legendary Outfit that’s certain to fill Survivors with terror.

We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know about the new Attack On Titan Outfits and the latest updates to 2v8 right here.

Attack On Titan Collection (NEW OUTFITS)

The Attack on Titan Collection quickly became one of our best-selling Collections, with ten Outfits inspired by the looks of Eren Jaeger, the Armored Titan, Mikasa Ackermann, War Hammer Titan, and many more.

Now, the Collection introduces another round of Outfits, including ensembles for Jake Park, Yui Kimura, Thalita Lyra, and The Trapper.

Killer Outfits (Legendary)

The Trapper – Attack Titan
“As the white smoke gave way to a darkened fog, a titanic cry echoed through the lost realm.”

Survivor Outfits (Very Rare)

Jake Park – Cleaning Levi
Yui Kimura – Mikasa's Dark Uniform
Thalita Lyra – Sasha's Uniform

A few survivors will also be receiving queen's ball attire gown and heart of freedom uniform with this update.

There are also plenty of Quests to complete, with an Attack On Titan themed Badge, Banner, and Charm to unlock as Game Mode-specific rewards.

Check out the latest arrivals in the in-game store and don’t hesitate to bring them into your next round of 2v8. Speaking of which...

2v8 Balance Updates

To start, a few Killers will undergo a few 2v8-specific buffs and nerfs to achieve a more well-rounded state of balance.

The Deathslinger (Buff)

Everyone’s favorite spear-slingin' bounty hunter has been sitting on the lower end of the Kill Rate spectrum, so we’ve done a pass on several elements of his toolkit. Now, he’ll have a reduced movement speed penalty while reloading, as well as a reduction to the time lost after missing a shot.

Reload Speed Movement Multiplier: 0.7 seconds -> 0.8 seconds
Fire Miss Duration: 1.5 seconds -> 1.2 seconds

The Oni (Nerf)

Kazan was arguably one of the deadliest Killers before The Fog, so it’s no surprise to see him living up to his reputation in 2v8. To help rein him in and ensure he’s not hoarding all the kills for himself, we’re increasing the penalty after successfully downing a Survivor in Demon Mode.

Demon Mode Uptime Reduction: 7 seconds -> 10 seconds

Cage Relocation

We’ve seen an increased number of Survivors hitting second stage, simply because their teammates are more likely to assume another Survivor will always be closer. This has been referred to as the “bystander effect,” and it’s been a recurring pain point for Survivor players.

To help mitigate this, we’ve added a mechanic where the bleed out timer will pause for 15 seconds whenever a Cage relocates, which should provide additional time to organize a rescue.

We’re also decreasing the amount of time it takes for a Cage to relocate in the first place, from 20 seconds to 14 seconds.

New Maps

The Map Pool continues to expand with the addition of two new Maps, adjusted to more accurately accommodate the pace of 2v8:

Temple of Purgation
Ironworks of Misery

Don your favorite Attack On Titan Outfit (or not, we won’t sic a Titan on you) and queue up for 2v8’s triumphant return.

The Game Mode runs from April 28th to May 19th.

See you in The Fog,
The Dead by Daylight Team
