Eagerly consuming tales of the macabre, she honed her storytelling abilities and began practicing witchcraft. When darkness fell, however, she was plagued by nightmares of hooks and sinister figures. One night, her roommate even witnessed her levitating above her bed. Mikaela had always suspected the existence of realms beyond the veil of reality. She would soon find how thin that veil truly was.
